Award Categories

  • The Unsung Hero Award was established to recognise and acknowledge a woman who has made significant contributions above and beyond their position in an organisation. The recipient may not have been otherwise recognised for their accomplishments and achievements.

    Nominate

  • For a woman who has inspired others. Maybe she’s done something out of the ordinary to help others, maybe she’s a role model in the organisation, maybe she’s battled against enormous odds, and yet still continues to contribute to the workplace.

    Nominate

  • Supporting women in the workplace. For organisations of any size that have shown exceptional commitment to gender equality at work. They will be able to demonstrate a forward-thinking, proactive and creative approach to enabling women to realise their full potential. This could include taking action in areas such as recruitment, employee recognition and professional development, flexible working, helping women returning to the workplace or any other ways of creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture which enables women to excel.

  • For a woman who has been ahead of her time in all aspects of professional engagement, throughout a long career.

  • The Champion of Change is a feminist of any gender who recognises and advocates for the true equality of women and men in the workplace.

  • For a woman under 35 who has shown ambition and determination in the workplace. (Must be under 35 on 1 November 2024).

  • We are looking for a woman managing a team who has gone that extra mile for their staff. Someone who gives freely of their time and energy to help their team.

  • For an individual or organisation who has campaigned to help underprivileged women. Or a charitable event organised by a woman.

  • Awarded to an organisation or individual who has shown exemplary dedication to building cultural bridges in the realm of international student recruitment. This includes implementing programs that facilitate cross-cultural understanding, promoting diversity and inclusion, and fostering a sense of belonging among students from diverse backgrounds.

  • This award is to recognise top-performing women from across the technology space and provide inspiration for younger women looking to build a career in tech.

  • The Mentor of the Year will be a person of any gender who has gone the extra mile as a mentor of women over the past year. The winner will have shown willingness to volunteer their time to supporting one or more new or growing organisations and/or supporting one or more individuals in their chosen career. They will be inspiring and dedicated to diversity and inclusion.

How are entries judged?

Our judges will shortlist five nominees for each category. The winner will be the person or organisation that best demonstrates:

  • A transformative influence on the professional community and/or on students

  • The collaborative application of creativity or innovation in solving problems or overcoming challenges

  • A demonstrated commitment to the highest ethical standards

  • A sustained record of accomplishments and contributions to the field

  • Service as a mentor of trusted advisor to colleagues, students, and others
